Great idea to start this board! My story: I've always been overweight. Or rather, I've always thought I was overweight. Some of the time I was, some of the time I wasn't. I've gained a LOT of weight in college. While I kind of wish I hadn't gained that weight, at the same time it's given me a new perspective. In high school I wasn't thin, but was pretty average-sized. I just felt SO fat all the time. Somehow, gaining weight in college has allowed me to kind of chill out, take a step back and appreciate me for me, not me compared to skinny HS friends. I'm not sure if I'd stayed that HS size or even lost weight, as was my goal, that I would have accepted myself and stopped obsessing over small imperfections. That said: ok, I like myself. Time to lose some weight. ;D I'd like to lose about 80 lbs. At school, I live in an apartment and have a hard time avoiding junk food, especially snacky foods. Luckily, I've got this one more semester left before I'm done w/ undergrad and move home. At home, I usually eat much more healthily and spend LOTS more time outside and being active. I'm looking into getting another horse in the near future, which will increase my activity level by a lot. I also walk on the treadmill and have a rebounder (aka trampoline ) that I like bouncing on. Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to hanging around this board and offering some support to you all! Good luck!
